About Me

So what do you absolutely, positively need to know before reading this blog? Probably nothing. I mean, it's pretty evident that it's a book blog. BUT. If you want a bit more information... 

Here's the deal. This is a book blog that began it's life on May 11, 2012. It doesn't have a particular bent. I love to read and I want to share what I read with all of you dear readers. So whether it's YA or a very adult thriller I'll post about it. I love adult fiction and I'm just getting into young adult fiction. Non-fiction and memoirs also have a habit of popping up on my shelves. I'll pretty much read a cereal box if you put it in front of me, but I promise I won't post about the amounts of Red Dye 2 found in Fruit Loops. 


So who's the face behind this oh so scintillating blog? 


I'm Ashley. I'm a twenty-something, recent university graduate trying to make it in the big bad world. I work in theatre with an emphasis on stage management and it has this tendency to totally take over my life. Totally and completely. I go MIA sometimes and it definitely has a lot to do with the fact that I work 13 - 14 hour days pretty frequently. But I love it. I love the thrill of wearing all blacks, acting like a ninja and sneaking around in the dark 24/7. There's nothing like the rush of live theatre. 


What else do I love? Good music for one. I am a major Bruce Springsteen fan, but pretty much turn on the radio and I'll be singing along, off key, to something. I'm a gem. Really. You should all come along for a road trip with me. 


But more than anything, I love to discuss books. Sometimes in the high literary fashion of the local university, but more often than not I just like to chat. So please, stop by leave a comment and we'll all have a good time!
